Welcome

St. Monica's Playgroup is a fun place for parents and kids to make new friends.

We meet on Wednesday mornings, from 9:00 to 11:30 AM.

There are lots of toys, playsets and tricycles for the kids, and coffee, snacks and conversation for the parents.

We hope you'll come over and play with us!

Registration

St. Monica's Playgroup registers a maximum of 12 parents for each session.

The Fall 2006 session runs from September 6 to December 13.

The Winter 2007 session runs from January 10 to June 13.

Each session costs $40 per parent, and you can sign up any time simply by showing up.

Set-Up

Parents take turns setting up the church basement for the kids, making coffee and bringing a snack for the other parents.

Coffee, tea and sugar are provided. The set-up person brings milk for the coffee.

Set-up usually begins at 8:30. Once the coffee is on and the snacks are out, the other parents pitch in and help moving the tables and chairs, and bringing the toys and tricycles out of the toy closet.

When the meeting ends, everyone helps clean up.

Crafts

Parents take turns coming up with simple and fun crafts suitable for all the kids in the group.

Past ideas have include egg-carton butterflies, paper-bag puppets, Valentines, door hangers, sunflower kids calendars, and construction paper wind socks.

We have white glue, popsicle sticks and crayons on site. Everything else must be supplied.

Music with Allison

We schedule appearances by Allison, the popular kids' singer, at least once a month.

Allison's appearances are some of the most highly anticipated dates in playgroup schedule.
